EB&P Meets the Next Generation: WOW Day at Arden Academy

On 4th March, Esther and Hannah of EB&P Estate Agents were delighted to attend the World of Work (WOW) Day at Arden Academy, an inspiring event designed to help students explore potential career paths and better understand how their studies connect to the professional world.

The overarching aim of WOW Day is to broaden students’ horizons, increase their knowledge of careers, and spark curiosity about the many opportunities available to them in the future. By bringing professionals directly into the classroom, the event provides meaningful interaction between students and industry experts, encouraging young people to think openly and confidently about their ambitions. Research consistently shows that strong career programmes help improve student motivation, performance, decision-making and self-confidence — making events like this a valuable step in preparing the next generation for the world of work.

During the day, Esther and Hannah hosted three interactive sessions with around 60 students, offering a behind-the-scenes look at life in the property industry. The highlight was a fun and engaging “classroom viewing”, where students stepped into the role of estate agents themselves. For a short while, the classroom became a property to market and sell, with students practising how to present a space, identify key features and think about what buyers might be looking for.

The students embraced the challenge brilliantly, bringing creativity, confidence and fresh perspectives to the exercise. In fact, Esther and Hannah left feeling they had learned a thing or two themselves — picking up some new ideas and tips from the next generation of potential property professionals!

EB&P Estate Agents were proud to support the WOW Day initiative and to play a small part in helping students begin to explore the possibilities of their future careers.
