Our Moment in the Spencer-light

Some days at EB&P are spent on survey reports and chasing solicitors. Every now and again, you get a day like this one.

In 2025, the production team behind Channel 4's Location, Location, Location asked whether one of our properties, a lovely home near Rowington, could feature in an upcoming episode. Our clients very kindly said yes (thank you, again!). This October the Warwickshire episode finally aired. We may have watched it more than once.

Walking in on Phil

Hannah and I spent the day at the property, helping things run smoothly for the crew. When we walked in, there he was: Phil Spencer, sitting at the kitchen table with his team, deep in conversation and making notes about the house. There was no fanfare and no entourage sweeping through. He was just doing his homework.

That's what struck us most. It was all very genuine. Phil was exceptionally respectful of our clients' home, charming to everyone he met and clearly as interested in the property as any buyer we've ever shown round. We did try to play it cool. We did not entirely succeed (see photo).

What a film crew teaches you about selling a house

A lot goes into making a home look its best on screen: the light, the flow from room to room, the small details that make someone stop and picture themselves living there. It's exactly what we think about every time we prepare a property for market. We just usually have fewer cables and considerably less catering.

It was a lovely reminder that great presentation isn't about gloss. It's about letting a home's character come through. The Rowington property had plenty of that, and it was a joy to see it get its moment in the spotlight.

A proud day for the team

Our clients trusted us, and so did a programme as well loved as Location, Location, Location. That meant a great deal to all of us, and we're still grinning about it.

We can't promise Phil Spencer will turn up to your viewing, but we can promise the same care, preparation and attention to detail. Camera crew optional.
